STORYTELLING NIGHT
Much of anthropology is about is storytelling; yet, this is often "lost" in the conventional presentation formats like conference papers and journal articles. Pushing against this, NDIA encourages participants to share stories and performance pieces inspired by their fieldwork or other important events that have impacted them as scholars. These peices will be showcased in an informal setting on the 8th of April. All forms of oral narrative and performance that can fit into a 5-10 min slot are welcome. Examples include: poetry, fairytales, creative non-fiction, diary entries, musical pieces, mime, stand-up.
